Bukit Bintang Plaza (also referred to as BB Plaza), is a popular shopping centre situated in the Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur. The shopping mall was opened in 1979. The area was formerly occupied by Bukit Bintang Park, an amusement park. It was opened in 1932 as Hollywood Park, later renamed as Bukit Bintang Park in 1936 due to the change of ownership. It was closed on June 30, 1972 and demolished later that year.
The shopping mall consists primarily of mid-range retail outlets. Its only tenant is Metrojaya, which occupies three of its floors.
It is also located in a walking distance from Pudu Raya Bus Terminal. Bukit Bintang Plaza is also accessible via monorail at the Imbi or Bukit Bintang stations.
Bukit Bintang Plaza is located adjacent to Sungei Wang Plaza. Other major shopping malls located nearby include Lot 10, Berjaya Times Square, Imbi Plaza, Low Yat Plaza and Fahrenheit 88 (formerly known as KL Plaza). These malls are all located in the Golden Triangle area of Kuala Lumpur.
